Finding a name for a puppy is far more important than what some people think and a lot of thought should go into choosing the right one.
This will be a name you are going to use very often over the next decade or so. It is important that when you say your puppy’s name, that it makes you feel good. The wrong name can give the wrong impression and can cause people to judge and fear your dog.
The right name for a puppy will make you happier to call your friend in crowded places. For example calling out to “Buddy” is going to be a lot more pleasant than yelling out to “Killer!“ at your local park.

Naming your dog “Jay” and trying to teach them the command “Stay” could confuse your pup and only make things hard for yourself, not to mention your puppy.
