going to be best suited to a farm or country
lifestyle. You will need the space to give them enough exercise and not to mention all the daily tasks that can keep them occupied.
If you have an apartment then you should not consider this breed. Even if you have a suburban home with a backyard, you should resist owning an Appenzeller unless you want your property destroyed or love to listen to a constant barking dog.
For those with a farm or country surroundings, these pooches will be an energetic and loving companion to help out around the place.
Tip: We would definitely recommend getting these dogs into a dog sport. Especially agility which they love and excel at. This will not only keep them fit and healthy but also keep them busy which means you will have one very happy dog!
